Professional Vegetable Garden Maintenance
Why hire an expert gardener to help you with your garden?
Time: Our expert gardeners can spend the time required for planting, weeding, pruning, thinning and more. We do the heavy lifting during our weekly visits and you reap the benefits of fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
Experience: Why make mistakes when we can avoid them for you! We are happy to help you learn how to avoid common pitfalls in your gardening experience. Homefront Farmers professional gardeners have seen it all!
Planting begins in early spring, as soon as the ground thaws (which happens earlier in raised beds). Cool weather crops include vegetables such as snap peas, spinach, lettuce, carrots, beets, and broccoli. As the season rolls on, we’ll plant the rest of your crops, using organic seeds and transplants, where appropriate, for maximum yield. Our professional gardeners will take the best care of your crops using organic gardening methods of fertilization, thinning and pruning, and weed control to ensure your crops become established and healthy, and continue to produce for the entire season.

Our Garden Maintenance Program
Annual Garden Planting Design The foundation for a successful growing season is a well thought out and personalized garden planting design. To develop this design, we start by asking you to select from our Homefront Farmers Crop Planner all the crops you’d like to grow throughout the season. With this crop list, we create a planting design, allocating space for each crop and configuring a plan for maximum productivity (accounting for sunlight needs, growing height, companion planting strategies, etc.). The plan incorporates succession planting to keep the garden producing for as many months as possible. Once the Annual Garden
Planting Design is approved, it becomes the “blueprint” for the entire growing season.
