Jess Martinez

After graduating from Southern Connecticut State University in 2013, Jess decided to take the “year off” to figure out what her next move was. In a few months, Jess helped open an organic and all natural restaurant in Ridgefield CT, where her interest in organic foods and production started to grow. At 23, Jess moved down to Florida to begin a nine month apprenticeship at Sweetwater Organic Community Farm. There, she learned the ins and outs of farming, gardening and managing a CSA. After living in Florida for another year and traveling to Europe and the states, Jess found herself back home in Danbury, CT.

Jess became part of the Homefront Farmers team in the Fall of 2018. She is excited to learn and deepen her passion and knowledge for growing the best organic foods!
